The Triumph Gallery presents the personal exhibition of Bakhrom Alimov "Eloquent Silence". The project continues the artist’s reflections on the generation of the 2000s, whose formation took place in the context of global digitalization and for whom simultaneous existence in both material and digital reality became a natural state.
Галерея "Триумф" presents a solo exhibition by Bakhrom Alimov, "Eloquent Silence." The project continues the artist’s reflections on the 2000s generation, whose formative years unfolded amid global digitalization and for whom the simultaneous existence in both material and digital realities has become a natural state.
In "Eloquent Silence," Bakhrom Alimov visualizes the mental state of a person in a constantly changing world, where fundamental dogmas lose their absolute certainty, prompting a search for new points of support in alternative spiritual systems and esotericism. The main destabilizing force is digital globalization: within the overwhelming поток of information, we often fail to verify it, relying instead on the popularity of a source as a guarantee of its truthfulness, selectively appropriating various postulates. "The greater freedom to choose new points of reference, generated by the accessibility and overabundance of information in the digital metaverse, simultaneously makes us less confident in them, and the instability of this construct gives rise to an inner anxiety that persistently pulses within," explains the project’s curator, Polina Mogilina.

The figures in Alimov’s works exist in liminal zones, balancing between the metaphysical and the real, dreams and nightmares, hope and despair. The mental state of the characters influences the surrounding space, quite literally shaping it. For the artist, painting is an intuitive and sensorial process: while working, Alimov constantly shifts between individual fragments of the canvas, each existing autonomously from the overall composition.
