"Many have probably heard about our northern summer — that it resembles a caricature of southern winters. Very short-lived, and just as rare as a Parisian woman in the library of the city of Vyborg."
Maxim Savva
Triumph Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Maxim Savva, Summer in the Leningrad Region. The project brings together paintings and graphic works from recent years. The subjects of Savva's works are deeply personal, yet familiar and resonant for everyone. His characters move from one piece to another, forming entire series around themselves. These may be fictional or historical figures, embodiments of the artist himself, people from his окружение, and even Maxim’s dog, Madame Lebowski. This multitude of images resembles an old photo album, preserving vivid, sentimental, and timeless moments.
