From September 11 to November 1, 2026, the Russian Spiritual and Cultural Orthodox Center (Centre Spirituel et Culturel Orthodoxe Russe) in Paris will host the exhibition project "System Assembly. Nizhny Novgorod", dedicated to the contemporary art scene of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The exhibition will combine the works of 17 artists and present to a foreign audience a variety of artistic practices that have developed in the region. The opening day will take place on September 10. The project in France is being implemented with the support of a service for wealthy clients of T-Bank — T-Private.

Art for T-Private is a way to preserve heritage and foster dialogue between generations. The service strives to create an environment where rare artistic phenomena become visible to collectors, experts, and the cultural community. The support of the Paris exhibition is a natural continuation of the philosophy of conscious money management, in which financial well—being is combined with attention to culture. Participation in the exhibition will allow Russian authors to present their work to an international audience and contribute to the development of links between the regional art scene and the global cultural space.

The Paris exposition will include selected works by independent artists and artists-residents of Nizhny Novgorod institutions: Futuro Gallery, Terminal A Center for Contemporary Art, 9B Gallery and Tikhaya Studio. The presented works, created from 2016 to 2026, cover a wide range of techniques and genres — from paintings and graphics to textile objects, ceramics and installations. The artists turn to the theme of place and local identity, while simultaneously considering it in the context of modern artistic processes. Among the key issues of the exhibition is the artist’s interaction with space, memory, the viewer and art. The exhibition consists of three parts. The first one is devoted to working with the local context and perception of the place; the second one addresses street art, one of the most recognizable phenomena of modern cultural life in Nizhny Novgorod, and presents the Nizhny Novgorod street art archive, documenting the activities of young artists in recent years, whose practices are developing beyond the traditional exhibition spaces. The foyer of the center will be the final part of the exhibition. A parallel mediation program will be held as part of the project.
